Automated Auditory Brainstem Response (AABR)

AABR is a hearing screening test that examines the neural pathways of a baby up to the brainstem. Infants are typically subjected to the test. Three small sensors are placed on your baby’s head during the AABR test. Gentle clicking sounds are played through soft headphones placed over your baby’s ears. This test lasts 5 to 15 minutes and requires the baby to remain calm and, preferably, asleep.
